Voulez Capital Partners LLP is an appointed representative of Midmar Capital LLP, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, in respect of UK investment advisory or arranging activities.

How much capital does Voulez typically provide?

We typically invest around £500K at seed stage and up to £2.5m at Series A. We typically lead our companies through each round, including Series A, and, where needed syndicate with other like minded, value adding investors.

What is the main thing you look when investing?

We focus on companies that have the potential to truly transform their market or industry, that have strong growth potential, have products and services that are ready or nearly ready for market and a very strong management teams.

Do you co-invest with other investors?

We aim to put in place a financing solution that works best for each of our companies.  Sometimes we will do the full round ourselves.  In some cases that means co-investing alongside existing investors.  In other cases it means syndicating with other venture capital firms.  In all cases we will only invest if founders and all investors are aligned around a common roadmap for how the business should develop going forward.  This avoids conflicts and problems in the future.

When is the right time to approach Voulez?

We invest in companies whose product or service is ready or nearly ready for market.  This allows us to maximise the value of our Investment Readiness Programme for your business.  In some cases we will consider financing pre-regulatory approval stage as the cost of meeting such approval can be higher than a typical angel financing round.

How long does your investment process take?

Our investment process typically takes a few weeks and takes place in two phases.  We do an initial, high level, assessment of each opportunity.  Those that meet our criteria then join our Investment Readiness Programme.  The Programme becomes our way of getting to know you and your business and for you to fine tune a roadmap for the development of your business.  Output documents from the Programme, together with our recommendations, then go for investment approval from our Investment Committee.

Are you willing to sign an NDA?

Like most investors we do not sign NDAs. We get a lot of applications and we always seek to expedite the process.  If you would like to know more about why investors do not sign NDAs, here are a couple of resources that might help you.

Does Voulez only invest in certain sectors?

Although we invest in quite a range of sectors, there are certain boundaries for what we would consider.  We do not invest in food and drink, in fashion, cosmetics or retail businesses (though we would consider tech behind those industries). We like businesses that address long term needs of humans and of our planet, such as residential care, circular economy and zero waste.  We also like areas which are traditionally underfunded, such as some aspects of healthcare, as well as things that improve the lives of women and families.  If you are not sure if your business fits our criteria, please get in touch with a brief summary and we will come back to you very quickly.

Which geographies does Voulez invest in?

Our primary focus is on Europe based companies.
