INVESTING IN WOMEN
Time & Location
About The Event
Women set up about 40% of new businesses. Yet, in 2017, only 2.2% of venture capital funding went to female founders. Only 12% went to mixed gender management teams. An identical pitch from an all male team is four times more likely to get funded than one that includes a woman.
We can and we must do better.
This does not even come close to representing the female entrepreneurial talent that is out there. Sadly, the same biases that result in these outcomes plague other areas of business and capital markets. A lot of value being lost unnecessarily for investors, for entrepreneurs and for customers.
Something must be done to address this. Therefore, Voulez Capital invites you to join us for a lively debate amongst leading industry experts on the best way to tackle this issue.
The panel will comprise leading experts from across the field of investors and entrepreneurs:
- Anya Navidski, Founder & CEO, Voulez Capital (moderator)
- Anna Faelten, Corporate Finance & Winning Women Initiative, EY
- Carrie Osman, Founder & CEO, Cruxy & Co
- Tamara Rajah, Founder & CEO, Live Better With
- Francesca Warner, Co-founder & CEO, Diversity VC
To further support women founders, Voulez is using this opportunity to launch its monthly Pitch Clinic for Female Founders. These regular events will allow women entrepreneurs to get sincere, informal feedback from Voulez and other partner investors and experts.
This time, founders will have a chance to present in front of:
